We have a natural spring, 1160 Cypress trees and 2000 californian Hass avocados trees
This is not a farm like any other, the water from the natural spring is already lab tested twice and the water quality is better than anything you can buy in a bottle. There is a very strong possibility to use the water commercial. Paperwork favoring this venture from Minae and Setena is already in our possession.
The water is coming out of the rock, is cold and taste excellent !
Twelve years ago 1200 Cypress tree where planted just for the wood. Those trees are now roughly 10 to 15 meters tall and have just been pruned so they grow stronger and increase in value. The sales value last year was around USD 70000,- . This number was given to us from several loggers. However, the recommendation also was from all of them to keep the trees around for another 10 years. Considering the grows, the increase of wood and expected market value in 2019, the value will be roughly USD $300000,-
One year ago we planted 1000 avocado trees, those trees are directly from the association and the most expensive kind on the market. Within the next 5 to 6 years, the trees are expected to carry anywhere from 200 to 400 fruits each. This kind of Avocado can be left on the tree for up to 6 month in order to reach the maximum market value, if stored adequate, another 3 month are gained to explore all sales possibilities. The market value at this time is roughly USD 0.90,- wholesale from the producer is USD 0,45,- each fruit, a conservative calculation would turn out about USD 90000,- per year. Since this is such a good business, we have decided to plant another 1000 trees this year for a total of 2000 trees and an estimated conservative income of USD 180000,- each year.
The Farm is conveniently located in the hills of the” Cerro de la Muerte” 100km south of San Jose or 25km north from San Isidro de General, 2.6km of the panamerican Highway right at the little village of Division.
The farm has a public water connection, river access and the spring. Access is over a public gravel / rock road. There is also a small very basic, solar powered (8.5kw day) 2 bedroom wooden house, with TV, refrigerator, stove and so on. This is the place where the worker is living.
The farm has access from top to bottom over a recently re-done dirt trek also a platform for a possible construction of a home or else was done.
The property measures 6.5HA , title is free and clear, legally registered in a Costa Rican corporation. This corporation can also be used to obtain any kind of service like cell phones and bank accounts.
